Bigg success is life on your own terms. You own your life; you’re the entrepreneur in charge.
Now you may object. You don't want to own your own business. You don't have to own a business to think like an entrepreneur.

However, by thinking like an entrepreneur, you will be able to take control and create the life of your dreams.
But how do you take control in times of great uncertainty?
Think like an entrepreneur!
Entrepreneurs thrive on uncertainty
Change creates two things. It creates uncertainty. This is the reason why the general population hates change. We don’t like uncertainty so we don’t like change.
Entrepreneurs know that change also creates opportunities. That's why they thrive on change.
Business schools teach us to predict the future. Entrepreneurs know they can’t do that. So they don't try.
Instead they create the future they want for themselves. To do that, they look for change.
If they can't find it, they instigate change. Because they want an opportunity!
Don't let uncertainty hold you back. Think like an entrepreneur. Find the opportunity in the midst of the uncertainty. Create your future by capitalizing on the change.
Entrepreneurs are decisive in spite of uncertainty
Most people freeze up in the face of uncertainty. They may fantasize about a better life but they're afraid to take action.
Entrepreneurs dream of a better life as well. But they don't let their fears control them; they control their fears by taking action.
Remember public speaking class? Did you have the jitters before you gave your speech? Once you got started, didn’t they go away?
That’s how it works for most people. Action settles the nerves. Your focus shifts from thinking about performing to actually performing. Every time you do it, it gets a little easier.
Do it enough and you’ll be a peak performer!
It works the same way with most endeavors. The anxiety only exists (and grows larger) in the face of inaction. The more you think about doing something, the less likely you are to do it. So just do it. Get started!

Entrepreneurs focus on the downside
This is the real key to everything we've discussed so far. In fact, it’s the real key to dealing with uncertainty.
Business schools teach us to weigh the upside against the risks. Entrepreneurs don't worry too much about the upside. They focus on the downside.
In other words, they focus on making the risks manageable. If they can't eliminate it altogether, they find ways to minimize it. If it can't be minimized to an acceptable level, they share it.
The only limit to your ability to limit your downside is your own creativity!
Entrepreneurs are resource-full
By this, we don't mean entrepreneurs are full of resources. To the contrary!
Entrepreneurs look at what they can accomplish with the resources they already have. Then they find ways to stretch these resources to the fullest!
What resources do you have? Your most important resource is you – your time, your expertise, your perceptions and your abilities.
You have your network – the people you know and the people they know. This is where the leverage is today. With social media, it's easier to build and maintain a network than ever before.
Those are the intangible resources. You also have physical resources – money and assets – that may be useful in launching the life of your dreams.
You, too, can entrepreneur your life to thrive on uncertainty. That’s bigg success!

The old Nike “Just Do It” slogan springs to mind. Inaction is indeed the enemy, and the entrepreneurial type pretty much has the faith to make the leap, knowing that they’ll grow wings on the way down….
Well said Nicky! Thanks for your comment.
