4 Key Success Factors

You may watch them on stage. Or in the front of the room.

You can find them in offices. Or in front of a customer.

They are actors, speakers, leaders, managers, salespeople.
They are pros.

They make it look so easy. So easy that you think you can do it. And that’s where the problems begin.

Because you can’t.

You can’t do it like they do it. You could, but you can’t. The difference in tense is important.

You can’t because they possess something you don’t. You always knew it, didn’t you?

You knew you were missing something. You knew you would catapult to the top if you just had it.

Only you didn’t really know what it was. That’s why you’re here today. We’re going to tell you.

What do the pros have that you don’t?

Factor 4: Skin in the game

We’re starting with the fourth factor, but not because we’re counting down. It’s just we know that we’ll eliminate a lot of wanna-be’s with this one. If you’re a gonna-be, keep reading.

The fourth key success factor is skin in the game. Investment. Sacrifice.

We’re not talking about just putting in time here. We’re talking hard work.

Not just today. Anybody can work up the resolve to push extra hard for one day.

You have to do it today and tomorrow. And the day after.

Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. That’s how you build the life of your dreams.

It won’t be easy. You will face adversity. You will be tempted to quit. But you must press on if you want to reach BIGG success.

You will be tempted by friends, family, and opportunities to do something more fun. To live in the moment. To be spontaneous.

All of these things have their place. But they can’t interfere with the work you must do. You have to learn to say “No.” You have to display your dedication.

So hard work is a key success factor. Only it isn’t enough by itself. If you’re still reading, you have what it takes.

Factor 1: Talent

What are you naturally good at? Note that we said “good” rather than “great.” Greatness comes with hard work. But you need a foundation to build upon. That’s where your natural talent comes in.

If you want to be a BIGG success, you have to find your talent. This is the nature side of the nature/nurture argument.

Sure, you can do anything you want. But do you want to be part of the crowd? Or do you want to be a BIGG success?

If it’s the latter, you have to start by discovering your unique gifts. Without this, all the hard work in the world won’t matter.

But it will probably take some hard work to find your talent. It’s a process. Be patient.

Factor 2: Opportunity

BIGG success is life on your own terms. It’s about taking control to design and build the life of your dreams.

It’s a matching process. You want to match your talent with a market opportunity.

Opportunities are all around you. The trick is finding the right opportunity for you. To do that, think like an entrepreneur. After all, you’re in charge of a very important enterprise – your life!

Great enterprises are built over time. There are few shortcuts. It will take hard work to find the right opportunity. But it will pay BIGG dividends!

Factor 3: Share your secret

You can work hard and go nowhere.
You can have all the talent in the world and nothing will happen.
You can find the perfect opportunity yet not succeed.

You have to let the world know. You have to get the word out. You have to reach out. You have to share your secret.

Let people know what you do. Tell people how you help people. Be proud enough to talk about what makes you unique.

Stand out. Reach out. It’s hard work, but it leads to BIGG success!

Must You Sell Your Soul to Be a BIGG Success?

Many people think so. Is it because…

They’ve tried to be a BIGG success but failed?

They don’t have the will to try again?

They’re scared of success?

They don’t know how to reach BIGG success?

They have some mistaken belief about values and success?

So they convince themselves that to reach BIGG success…

You treat people worse than you’d treat any animal?

You don’t hesitate to walk all over anyone who gets in your way?

You can’t have a conscience?

You have to be evil?

We can’t dispute that there are people who fit this mode. They have achieved a significant level of success in their career.

But that’s not BIGG success. BIGG success is about succeeding in life.

And, as far as we can tell, your career is only a part of your life. A significant part, to be sure, but only part.

Is it BIGG success when you have more money than you ever imagined but the only real friends you have are on your payroll?

Is it BIGG success when you receive untold recognition for your work but your spouse and kids barely know you?

Is it BIGG success when you have fame and fortune but still feel such a void that you turn to drugs, alcohol or some other substance?

We think not. We think that to reach BIGG success…

You’ll discover who you really are.

You’ll find your reason for being and pursue your destiny.

You’ll build untold character from the inevitable struggles.

You’ll help others and, in doing so, you’ll be better off.

In short…you won’t lose your soul. You’ll find it.

How to Deal with Rejection

Rejection can be brutal. Some people take it better than others.

BIGG success is life on your own terms. But even if you’re living the BIGG life, things won’t always go your way.

You won’t reach the BIGG success you crave if you let rejection get you down.

So here are 4 tips to help you deal with rejection:

Stay confident

When you’re comfortable in your own skin, you won’t take rejection personally. You’ll accept it as part of your journey to BIGG success.

You’ll keep trying – one more thing, then one more. That’s what you have to do to succeed BIGG!

And don’t forget to take a confidence booster.

It’s a numbers game

What if you knew that every time you got a “No”, you were one step closer to “Yes”?

The most celebrated authors know this. So do actors and other entertainers.

It’s also true of job seekers. And sales people. And entrepreneurs.

See “No” as a positive – it means you’re one step closer to success!

Don’t take the rejection personally

It’s them. It’s not you.

That’s our fun way of saying it’s highly unlikely that they’re rejecting YOU.

We know this isn’t easy sometimes. It’s easy to listen to that little voice that tells you that it’s all about you.

Tell it to shut up! It’s really important to do so if you’re going to benefit from the rejection.

Yeah, that’s right…you can benefit from the rejection.

Try to find out why

If you take it personally, you won’t look for the reason underlying the rejection. Then you’ll get caught in a vicious circle.

You’ll be more likely to get rejected again because you’re not learning anything from each rejection.

You want to understand why it occurred so you can answer this question:

Is the reason for the rejection something you can control?

Maybe it’s the offer.

Or the presentation.

The design.

The wording.

Their circumstances.

Or any number of other things.

If you can’t find out why, or it’s something you can’t control, keep pushing.

If you do find out and it’s something you can control, celebrate the rejection!

You can make the necessary changes and try again. It’s how you find BIGG success!

Do You Dream of Success?

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” ~ T.E. Lawrence

Do you dream by night or by day?

Everyone dreams by night. Some don’t remember it.

Some people dream by day. Those who reach BIGG success never forget it.

They are among those few people who understand the source of all great accomplishments:

An idea. A thought.

One of two three things will happen with this idea:

Nothing

It will become a fantasy

It will turn into a dream

BIGG success is life on your own terms. The difference between a fantasy and a dream can be summed up in one term:

Action

The idea turns into a clear picture of a destination. You know what you want to accomplish it.

You live it in your mind.

But that’s where it ends for most people. It’s just a fantasy.

You, because you’re a BIGG goal-getter, won’t stop there. You understand the importance of living it in your mind…first.

You won’t settle for just living it there. You’ll take action.

But not just any action. Action that will move you toward your dream.

And you will stop doing any action that won’t take you there. They are a waste of your time.

And time – one of the five elements of BIGG success – is your most precious resource.

When you take the right actions, you change your reality. Sure, you’ll face obstacles. You’ll need to be persistent.

As you overcome the challenges, your dream will turn into reality. You’ll live it the second time; this time in the real world you dreamed of creating.

That’s BIGG success!
