Why You Do NOT Deserve Success
You do NOT deserve BIGG success. You know it instinctively. Of course, you may not admit it to yourself.
Well, it’s time to admit it. Tell yourself. Go ahead – say it.
Not so silently. Out loud. Yell it at the top of your lungs.
Now do it again.
Let it sink in.
You don’t deserve a promotion.
Nor do you deserve a pay raise.
You don’t deserve that contract you’ve been negotiating.
And you certainly don’t deserve a good grade in that class you’re taking.
We could go on and on.
You don’t deserve it. You earn it.
You earn a promotion.
You earn a raise.
You earn a new contract.
You earn a good grade.
We could go on and on.
You don’t deserve anything. You earn it.
With three exceptions, noted by the Founding Fathers of the United States. They delineated three things you deserve, as granted to you by your Creator – “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Notice that you don’t deserve happiness. You earn it by pursuing it.
Sometimes you earn success and it still doesn’t come. Then you have a choice to make.
You can do nothing.
You can whine about it, which is even worse than doing nothing.
Or you can do something about it.
You can work even harder.
You can change jobs or careers.
You can start a business.
And success is one thing. BIGG success is another.
Success isn’t free. BIGG success has an even higher price tag.
That’s why it’s so precious. You will know you earned it when you reach BIGG success.
