How You Can Change the World

change the world with these characteristics | BIGG SuccessNear the end of the movie Oh God, God (played by George Burns) ended up on the witness stand. He is testifying for Jerry (John Denver).

Jerry has been sued by a televangelist for slander. He decides to fight the lawsuit.

And he asks God to be his star witness. Here’s what God said in closing:

“I know how hard it is in these times to have faith. But maybe if you could have the faith to start with, maybe the times would change.

You could change them. Think about it. Try.

And try not to hurt each other. There’s been enough of that. It really gets in the way.

I’m a God of very few words and Jerry’s already given you mine. However hopeless, helpless, mixed up and scary it all gets, it can work.

If you find it hard to believe in me, maybe it would help you to know that I believe in you.”

The starting point of all BIGG success

The starting point of all BIGG success is an act of faith.

Faith in a power greater than yourself.
Faith in your ultimate destiny.
Faith in yourself.
Faith in your abilities.
Faith in your ability to learn and adapt.

It’s an active faith, not a passive one.
You don’t just sit back and hope things change.
You take action because you have faith.

Because you act with faith, times change. Your economy improves.

Others do the same. Their economy improves. Individual by individual, economies change.

As individual economies change, neighborhoods change.
As neighborhoods change, towns and cities change.
As they change, states change.
As states change, regions change.
As regions change, countries change.
As countries change, the world changes.

You can change the world! There is tremendous power in individuals acting with faith to change their own personal economy.

But God isn’t through yet…

The important partner of faith

In His testimony, He added a basic ethical principle: As you change your personal situation, try not to hurt others.

But ethical principles don’t set ideals. They establish the baseline.

We should seek more. The second great commandment is “love your neighbor as yourself.”

Love your neighbor and you will be loved.
Give to your neighbor and you will be receive even more.
Add value to your neighbor’s life and create value for yourself.

It all starts with you. You’re here to do something special. God believes you can do it!

Act with faith and love and you can change the world, beginning in your corner of it. It leads to BIGG success!
