Lose Your Keys to Be a Success
Lost keys are always in the last place you looked, right? It’s even a commonly repeated saying.
But isn’t it a funny one? Of course, they’re in the last place you looked. Why would you keep looking once you find them?
It highlights something we want to talk about today – you need to lose your keys to find BIGG success!

We’ll explain a little further, because like your keys, this point is too important to lose.
Why failures don’t matter
You can look here for success. You can look there for success. You can look and look and look for success.
You can fail to find it here. You can fail to find it there. You can fail to find it again and again.
But no one will care – and most importantly, you won’t care – once you find BIGG success.
Famous failures
But don’t take our word for it. Let’s look to the words of two famous failures – two people we know you would consider a BIGG success in their chosen field.
What do they have to say about the relationship between success and failure?
Here’s a great quote on success and failure by the man widely hailed as the best basketball player of all time. Michael Jordan said:
“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
But it goes beyond sports. It extends into all endeavors.
J.K. Rowling is the first author to become a billionaire. In a speech to Harvard graduates, she said:
“I think it fair to say that by any conventional measure, a mere seven years after my graduation day, I had failed on an epic scale. An exceptionally short-lived marriage had imploded, and I was jobless, a lone parent, and as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless. The fears my parents had had for me, and that I had had for myself, had both come to pass, and by every usual standard, I was the biggest failure I knew.”
Who remembers the losses Michael Jordan endured? We only remember the wins.
When you hear the name J.K. Rowling, who thinks about anything other than Harry Potter and the amazing success she created?
Only when you look closely do you see they reached success through failure. Success is failure turned inside out.
So lose your keys and you’ll be a BIGG success.
How have your failures helped you succeed?
