If you’ve watched the Carl’s Jr. commercial with Heidi Klum, you’ve seen Jesse LeBeau. The ad is a take-off of The Graduate. Jesse plays Benjamin, Dustin Hoffman’s character in the movie.
We met Jesse at a conference and loved his story – how a small town boy is turning his love of basketball into a Hollywood career.
He talked with us on our longer form podcast, Entreprenurturing™ Sessions. We shared a few clips of that interview on The BIGG Success Show today.
Here’s a summary:
- Jesse says he’s “built like Justin Bieber.” Yet he was able to play college basketball through “pure determination and hustle.”
- The more people told him he couldn’t do it, the more determined he was to do it. Ultimately, he turned a perceived liability into an asset.
- After he got his degree, he headed off to Hollywood. He used basketball to break in by finding out where actors, directors and producers played. He says “basketball was kind of an equalizer.”
- Now he’s starring in a national commercial. And we see more bright things in his future. He’s going to be a BIGG success!
