“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”

That quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry perfectly captures why we created the Life Map in the first place.

We wish a lot.

We wish when we blow out birthday candles.
We wish when we see 11:11.
We wish when we toss coins into fountains or catch shooting stars.

And then we wonder why progress feels so hard.

A wish isn’t a plan. And progress – real, sustainable progress – requires more than good intentions. That’s what this final step of the Life Map Course is all about: bringing everything together into one clear, intentional Life Map.

The Life Map Is Built Step by Step

Your Life Map doesn’t appear all at once. It’s built intentionally, one step at a time—and every step matters.

In our Life Map Course podcast series we’ve shared the steps…

You start with Your Baseline.
Not where you wish you were. Not where you think you should be. Where you actually are. That honesty creates clarity, and clarity is the foundation of any real plan.

From there, you define Your Vision.
Not just what you want to achieve, but how you want your life to feel. Your vision becomes your North Star. Once it’s clear, decisions get simpler: Does this move me closer to my vision, or not?

Next come Your Values.
These are your guardrails. They guide how you spend your time, where you focus your energy, and which opportunities you pursue. When your Life Map reflects your values, fulfillment isn’t something you chase later—it shows up along the way.

Then you clarify Your Mission.
Your why. The deeper motivation that keeps you moving when things get hard. Your mission often lives at the intersection of your strengths and a problem you care deeply about solving.

From there, you set Your Goals.
Goals are the bridge between dreams and reality. When they align with your vision, values, and mission, they help you say yes to the right things—and no to distractions. Breaking goals into milestones creates momentum and makes progress visible.

And then come Contingencies.
Because life happens. Disruptions are inevitable. Without contingencies, one surprise can knock you off course for months. With them, you stay in motion—even when circumstances change.

None of these steps stand alone. That’s intentional. Each one builds on the last to form your Life Map.

Why the Life Map Brings Everything Together

One of the biggest reasons we created the Life Map Course is because most planning tools focus on just one area of life.

But life doesn’t work that way.

Your personal life, professional life, and financial life are deeply interconnected. A decision in one area almost always impacts the others.

That’s why our Life Map Course takes a holistic approach. Rather than planning parts of your life, we help you plan your whole life.

When everything works together, you stop feeling pulled in different directions. You’re no longer making tradeoffs without realizing it. Instead, your Life Map helps your decisions support each other rather than compete for your time and energy.

This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about making sure what you’re doing actually fits the life you want to create.

What Your Life Map Does for You

Your Life Map becomes a practical decision-making tool.

When a new opportunity shows up, you don’t ask, Is this a good idea?
You ask, Does this align with my Life Map?

That question simplifies choices. It reduces overwhelm. It builds confidence—because you know what you’re saying yes to, and why.

Your Life Map is also flexible. It evolves as your life evolves. It’s not rigid. It’s a living framework that grows with you.

And it’s visual. By distilling long-term goals and milestones into short, meaningful phrases, we help you turn your Life Map into a graphic you can keep on your phone, so you stay connected to your goals and plan.

Your BIGG Assignment

Take one sheet of paper and write:

  • Where you are right now
  • Where you want to go
  • What matters most to you
  • Why it matters
  • One aligned goal you’re working toward
  • One contingency that keeps you moving if life changes

From “The Professor”: Doing this assignment gives you clarity, which creates direction. And direction creates momentum, which leads to BIGG Success!
