We’re in the middle of a ten-part series about lifelong learning. So far we’ve covered the 3 R’s you learned in school, and the 3 R’s of BIGG Success. Now we’re going to talk about 4 great places to learn how to reach BIGG success.
Success is something that we all crave, but it’s hard to achieve. Why is this? Because we often don’t know where to look for it. We are told to network, read books, and work hard, but those are just a few of the many places where success can be found. That’s why we are going to share some other, more overlooked places to find success.
It’s Back-to-School time and we’re in the middle of a ten-part series on lifelong learning. We started by talking about the 3 R’s from our school days – reading, writing and arithmetic. Now we’re talking about the 3 R’s of BIGG success.
So far we’ve discussed two of them – responsibility and resiliency. Today we’ll chat about the 3rd R of BIGG success – relationships.
Today’s episode is made possible by Linq, digital business cards for modern networking. Make a lasting impression by sharing your contact information, and more — straight to someone’s phone or inbox.
We are living in the age of interdependence. It’s amazing how much can be accomplished by working together.
Relationships have always been important, and now it’s possible for any of us to build a worldwide network of relationships for work and play!
So look around. Watch the world in front of you. Observe.
What problem would you like solved?
What would you buy if only it were offered to you?
How could you improve what you already buy?
Part 2: Listen
Don’t limit yourself to just your eyesight. Listen for business ideas.
What problems do people around you have?
What don’t they have that they would like to have?
What experiences have they been dissatisfied with recently?
Let’s pull out the Professor’s whiteboard for: A simple technique to find your business idea.
Too many people who want to get into business ask the wrong question.
The wrong question is: How can I make money?
Successful entrepreneurs ask: What problem can I solve?
The simple technique is to look and listen for problems that need to be solved. Then find a way to solve them profitably and you’ll have a business idea that leads to BIGG success!

As BIGG supporters of entrepreneurship, there are things we see new entrepreneurs often get wrong. This week, we’ll share some of the advice we give our clients to help them avoid pitfalls and missed opportunities.
According to Google’s Year in Search 2021 trends, more people searched “how to start a business” then “how to get a job.” We learned of this trend via a tweet from Shopify President, Harley Finkelstein, who predicts that, “This is not just the year of the entrepreneur – this is the start of a new era where being an entrepreneur is people’s first choice for a career.”

It’s not been easy, and it’s not come without great challenges: We’ve survived the great recession, and the great pandemic. Not to mention the common obstacles to business growth. But we are still here, so let’s pull out the Professor’s whiteboard for our top 3 business survival tips…
